Photo Books

There is nothing more special than reminiscing over memories from the past. Whether it's your child's first year of life, your wedding day, a special vacation, holiday, or just the candid photos from the 90s that fill that box in the corner, you want to keep those memories alive by having them proudly on display. Allow me to create a beautiful photo book that captures memories into a treasured keepsake. Below are just a handful of the books I've created.

Photobooks on Online Platforms

Using Shutterfly or Mixbook is a great way to create your photobook. I love creating client's books through an online service for several reasons...

1. It gives us the option to work from YOUR account, allowing you the ability to check in on the project at any time! But also gives us the ability to share books from my account to yours or vice versa, if you're uncomfortable giving out your info. Mixbook offers a collaboration service that allows us both to edit from different accounts.

2. Using your account or collaborating allows you to not only check but make minor changes such as add text when the hard part is done!

3. You have the ability to order the book straight from the company whenever it's done!

Let me take those photos sitting in a box or in a folder on your computer, and make you a beautiful keepsake.

Family Vacation

This example spread is from a book for a family that took a vacation to Idaho and took 1000+ photos. I used creative liberties to sift through the best photos and incorporate them in chronological order.

John and Sarah's Wedding Day

60th Birthday Present

This example spread is from a book a young lady had made for her mother's 60th birthday present. Because of Covid and having friends all over the world, she decided to create a memory book instead. She compiled notes and pictures from almost 300 people and we compiled them into a 250-page book using Mixbook. This project took about 40 hours and the family was very happy with the results.

Family History

This example spread shows a page from a book of the family's history from the 1800s to now. This was an awesome project to work on. The owner started the book by inputting all the images and text in, then called me to organize and beautify to pages.

Adobe Software Books

Another way of creating photo books, if you want something a little different and more specific, is through Adobe InDesign. This way gives me the freedom of exact dimensions and a different approach. This would be better for projects involving more text and if you were wanting the files to have printed at a later time or in mass amounts, such as cookbooks.

Grandma Elizabeth's Cookbook

During this project, I was given the spiral notebooks that the client's grandmother had used as her handmade cookbooks. I scanned the pages and cleaned them up so they could be printed into one beautiful cookbook that the family could treasure forever.

Scrapbook Recreation

During this project, I was given scanned pages of the baby books of a brother and sister. The project was to recreate their books digitally and in a modern way that could be placed into a powerpoint and viewed digitally.

"What a life saver and super helper for our family! She gave me a better understanding of how to document my family's life with photobooks. We dumped a TON of stuff on her and what I got back made my wife and I tear up with joy! It was a project that had been procrastinated for years and this little angel came into our lives.

I've had family whose homes have burned down and the only thing they really miss were photos they can never get back. This project helped us have the most precious parts of our lives captured.

I would definitely hire her again...time to take more pictures!"
